Prinny is here, dood! Prinny, is a 2D side scrolling adventure game where you play as a peg legged penguin, who possesses the ability to fly with his tiny bat like wings. Now if this sounds strange to you then you probably have not played the Disgaea series, a niche tactical rpg series from Nippon Ichi Software.
Prinnies may be human or demon, but in either case, they are armed to the teeth, attacking with bombs, knives, and inexplicable charm. The game features a high energy soundtrack that is reminiscent of old neo-geo arcade music, which is is a plus in my eyes. Combat feels entertaining and brings in an rpg feel by showing onscreen numbers, to indicate damage.
Soaring over enimies to slash them from above, or shaping a wake of destruction in a tank, Prinny knows how to get down to business.
